Long Egyptian Cartouche

$59.99 USD

A cartouche is an oval frame that surrounds the hieroglyphs that make up the name of an Egyptian god or royal person. It represents a looped rope that has the magic power to protect the name that is written inside.

A cartouche was meant to protect against evil spirits, both in this life and the hereafter.
It can be arranged both horizontally or vertically depending on the best distribution for your design.

The cartouche has become a symbol that represents good luck and protection against evil. The Egyptians believed that if you had your name written somewhere, then it would not disappear once you died.
